TREK clubbers meet at 6:25 in the Auditorium for the Opening Ceremony. They join their leaders & peers and begin their night. TREK is slightly different than the younger clubs, they still use the 3 time periods (Games, Large Group, recite verses) but their large group time is an interactive Bible Study together using their handbooks.

AWANA SUMMER CAMP (6TH-12TH GRADE)

Registration for Summit Leadership Camp has begun! Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience...

What is Summit Leadership Camp all about? It is a week set aside by Pine Summit Christian Camps, our host, for Awana students from clubs throughout Southern California. It is intense spiritual growth, exciting fun, great food, fabulous friends, dedicated counselors, and adventures!
This is your time to be s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d in every way... God will be molding you into His spiritual soldier. You will be memorizing verses from God's Word daily, involved in Bible lessons, taking part in evening devotions with your cabin mates, learning how to develop a personal quiet time each day with the Lord, making new friends, and competing with your team in some crazy activities.
Summit Leadership Camp is for Awana clubbers who are entering sixth grade or higher in the fall of 2011 (current 5th graders) and have completed this year's materials. Clubbers in T&T must have earned the Excellence Award by the end of this club year. Trek and Journey students must have completed this years book(s) and be able to do an Oasis in Trek or a Review in Journey in one sitting with no more than two helps.
Awana students will be divided into two distinct camps with separate programs, teachers, and speakers....Junior High Camp is for campers going into grades 6 through 8, and Senior High Camp is for campers going into grades 9 through 12 and graduating seniors.
Camp takes place TBA. The cost is TBA per student, and covers all activities. A $150 deposit is due with the application no later than March 1st. Checks should be made out to Mission Hills Church. Check out www.summitleadershipcamp.comfor registration forms and more details. I will also have printed forms available at the front counter at club. Please contact Lisa via e-mail or see me at club for questions. oh2bstill@gmail.com
